Multi Factor Authentication Notification - CrafTech Computer Solutions

What to Expect during MFA Activation

  1. A CrafTech technician will schedule time to activate MFA for your organization with 2-step verification (also called multi-factor authentication), you and your staff that have Office 365 will be required to setup their account to use it.
  2. By setting up 2-step verification, you add an extra layer of security to your Office 365 account. You sign in to provide enrollment link with your username and password (step 1) and a code/push notification is sent to your phone (step 2).
  3. The assigned technician will send an email similar to the following to all users letting them know their account was activated.  The technician will be available for end user support if needed during the activation process.
If you are using an iPhone/Android and are required to use Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), we recommend that you use the Outlook for iPhone/Android app to connect to Office 365 for your mail, contacts, etc. because the native mail app in iOS/Android does not support MFA. If you are using the iPhone’s built in mail client instead of Outlook for iPhone, and you are also required to use Multi-Factor Authentication, you will have to use a one time-use App password anytime the phone requires you to re-enter the password for your KUSA Email account.

  1. Log in to your KUSA Office 365 account through a web browser. (https://portal.office.com)
  2. Click on your Account icon on the top right of the screen. It may be a picture or your initials.
  3. Click on My Account
  4. Click on  Manage security & privacy (in the Security and Privacy section)
  5. Click on Additional security verification
  6. Click on Create and manage app passwords
  7. Click the create button and enter a name that makes sense (like “my iPhone”).
  8. Enter the newly generated password into your iPhone in place of your KUSA password.
  9. Click close and close the browser window.
